Jhumra taal is also called jhoomra taal, and it is said to be the most popular taal in Indian classical music. It is generally played in medium tempo and can be used in dhrupad as well as khayal and thumri. It is also used in light classical forms such as bhajan and ghazal. .
Structure of Jhumra Taal :
This taal is 14 beats rhytham cycle and divided into four divisions of 3, 4, 3, and 4 beats. 3 claps of this rhythm On the 1st, 4th, and 11th beats and 1 wave on the 8th beats.
