This video discussed the basic rhythm of kawali keharwa or kawali Theka.Kawali theka is a particular tabla composition that is used as an accompaniment to kawali, a style of North Indian devotional music. It is usually played in a slow tempo, and often features a repeating eight-beat cycle.
Taal structure :
Kawali taal has 8 beats .It has 2 divisions and 4 beats in each division.1 clap or Tali of this rhythm on the 1st beat and 1wave on the 5th beat. But according to different opinions, it is 2 claps and no wave. The first beat of rhythm is called "Sam' which is the place is the first clap.

Tempo : Generally the tempo of these songs is medium and fast speed.
